During his visit to the Church the ringers were presented to the Prince.

Specially arranged and rung on New Years Day to congratulate Joan Simpson, aged 85 (a ringer here at Coningsby), on being awarded a B.E.M. (British Empire Medal) in the 2018 New Year’s Honours List for services to the community of Coningsby (which includes her bell ringing & fundraising). Joan came and sat in the tower while we rang the quarter. She is hoping to ring in a quarter in a few weeks time to celebrate.
Rung also remembering absent friends, especially Alan Brader (former Tower Captain) and Jim Sutherland (former Tower Captain at Wragby and friend of the Eastern Branch). Also in memory of William Eustace James Brown, Bob Hardwick’s Uncle who passed away at the end of 2017.
